Mongrel is better, but right now the community is mostly advocating Passenger.<br /><br />Puppet will probably never be the best file server, but the next release candidate will improve performance and the memory footprint considerably. (the current implementation is using venerable XMLRPC.)<br /><br />Still for big files or lots of files, using Puppet to manage git or even rsync will be more performant.<br /><br />We're a transparent community.
